    @avengedsevenfold115 for gaming? Yes there is a difference for sure. If you have a big monitor and run 720p, it will look like crap. For tv’s, not really unless you wanna go HUGE!

    @LustX 1080i is basically 540P so go into your settings and switch back to 720p or try using 1080p

    @LustX
    you have to concentrate to notice the difference, also 720p/i is better on fps/motion than 1080p but you have to concentrate to notice that as well. Also it’s about your screen size, if it’s really really huge you can notice the difference.

    On my Xbox, I use an HD ready TV and I use 1080i. So is it worse quality or is it invisible?

    Wtf my sony bravia 19 inch can do 1080p, well my 299 wasn’t waster, but i’m upgrading to a 32, so i’ll make my eyes explode more. Or 42, imagine, god of war 3 on 1080 on a 42 inch tv. Your soul will be broken by the detail.

    @GamerZoner69er

    Thank you! :)
    I have a ps3 and a panasonic viera 1366×768 with a hdmi cable and it looks amazing

    @salk3vol
    same thing here but the truth is that
    1366×768 supports 1280×720
    which means that your tv will look 720p as long as the picture is like that in other words just plug in an hdmi cable to your tv and bam looks HD.
    i did it with my ps3 and it says 1080i when im in the main menu and 720p when im playin.
    My tv is a Westinghouse with the resolution of 1366×768

    dont you love it when idiots say to you
    “come around my house and see my 52inch lcd tv”, and when you get there the picture on standard definition TV is absolutely terrible, even a 15 year old 36inch CRT piece of crap has got a better picture.
    i wouldnt bother buying a TV that big unless you played the ps3 everyday..
